Show UP
Like you have been sent because you have.
Hello dear one,
I trust you had a great weekend. I’m grateful our week is off to a good start.
One of the biggest struggles many adults face is consistency. How do you show up for multiple priorities over and over again and still stay sane? So many things demand your attention, yet you’re expected to give your best every time. I know many young adults want to build strong habits and grow in specific areas. “Just show up” sounds simple, but in reality, it’s not always easy to be consistent day after day. With so many tools and recommendations out there, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
Here’s what I’ve learned: find what works for you and simplify your systems. For example, I decided I wanted to be consistent with writing. I didn’t leave it as a just desires, chose a specific day and time each week to write and publish. In the past, I was fixated on making every piece “perfect.” Now, I focus on improving something each time I write.
Find what works for you and simplify your systems
When I started this newsletter in late 2024, we grew to just over 200 subscribers, and then the growth stalled. It bothered me for a while, but I kept showing up every week. By February this year, we reached about 390 subscribers and stayed there for some time. Then, over the past few weeks, something shifted. From mid-March until now, we’ve grown to over 1,000 subscribers. (Thank you all 1000+ of you ) But beyond the numbers, what really matters is the consistency over those months.
It’s easy to see the highlights of people’s lives online and admire the results without fully considering the work behind them. I want you to look beyond the outcomes you see on social media and start thinking about the effort, discipline, and persistence it took to get there.
A lot of people say, “No one handed us a manual for adulting, it feels like we’re all figuring it out as we go.” I want to believe that in this community, we’re changing that story. You are someone’s “mirror of possibility.” Don’t give up before God is finished with the work He is doing in you and through you. Go back to the things He has asked you to do and choose to show up. You already have what it takes. There are people depending on your light to find their way. Don’t leave them in darkness because you are stuck second-guessing yourself.

Like I said in my very first post on this platform, I’m inviting you to live, teach, forgive, dream, influence, write, love, mentor (choose your verb) and do it as if it matters, because it does. You may never hear how your actions have impacted someone’s life, but take the step forward anyway.
I just want you to know I’m in your corner, and we can figure this adulting thing out together.
This week, choose just one area of your life you’ve been inconsistent in. Don’t overthink it, pick one. Then decide on a simple, realistic way to show up for it (a specific day, time, or action). Start small, but stay committed.
If you’re up for it, hit reply and tell me what you’re choosing. I’d love to hear and cheer you on.
