Dream. Dare. Do.
How the fulfilment of one dream births another.
Hello, dear one.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had some honest conversations.
We’ve talked about DREAMS. The kind that stretches us to work but also reminds us it is not by our power. The kind that requires us to show up even when we don’t feel like it. The kind that brings us to our knees in complete surrender. The kind that requires us to trust God in ways we’ve never trusted Him before.
We’ve talked about how adulthood has a way of teaching us to dream smaller. How disappointment quietly lowers our expectations. We have looked at how fear convinces us that “being realistic” is the safest way to live. And how God keeps inviting us to lift our eyes beyond our current reality.
If there’s one thing I hope you’ve taken away from this series, it’s this:
God-sized dreams are never about proving how extraordinary we are. They’re about discovering how extraordinary God is and all He wants to accomplish through us.
That changes everything.
The dreams God give are not to overwhelm you but to invite you into all He knows you are capable of. That’s what we’ve been talking about all month. Looking back, here’s what we’ve discovered together.
We learned that many of us haven’t stopped dreaming because we’ve grown older. We’ve stopped because disappointment has quietly convinced us to expect less. We learned that our current reality should never become the measure of God’s possibilities. We learned that God’s perspective is always bigger than ours, even when all we can see are delays, detours and unanswered prayers. And perhaps most importantly, we learned that fear isn’t always a sign to stop. It is an invitation to do great things with the giver of all great dreams- God
As I prepared to write this final piece, one Scripture kept returning to my heart.
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energises you." Ephesians 3:20 TPT
I’ve read that verse countless times. But recently, one phrase stood out to me.
“...God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this.” God places desires in our hearts and then goes ahead of us to bring them to us. It is miraculous how the birth of one dream triggers the release of another dream.
At the beginning of the year, I strongly desired additional work experience that came with travel privileges and this month, God gave me the most beautiful opportunity to be in Kampala and Nairobi for 15 days. In the past few days, I have seen God expand the dreams He has planted in my heart by allowing me to connect with people already living them. Before God changes our circumstances, He often changes us. He expands our faith before He expands our influence. He develops our character before He increases our responsibility. He enlarges our capacity before He enlarges our opportunities.
I wonder how differently we’d pray if we truly believed Ephesians 3:20. What if we believed He could do more with one surrendered life than we could accomplish through years of striving? What if we stopped measuring possibilities by our resources and started measuring them by God’s faithfulness?
Perhaps we’d pray bolder prayers.
Take braver steps.
Love more generously.
Forgive more freely.
Serve more faithfully.
Dream more courageously.
As this series comes to an end, I don’t want these conversations to remain beautiful ideas in a notebook. I hope they become BOLD ACTIONS because every God-sized vision begins with one simple act of faith. A yes. Not a perfect plan. Just YES. Just a willingness to trust the God who already sees the end from the beginning.
So today, before we close this chapter, I want to ask you one final question.
What would your life look like if you truly believed that God could do immeasurably more than you’ve been asking or imagining?
Sit with that question this week. Pray through it. Write about it.
Talk to God about the dreams you’ve been too afraid to mention. Then take one step.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank You for every dream You’ve planted in our hearts and for every step You’ve walked with us through. Thank You for reminding us that Your plans are always greater than our imagination and Your power is already at work within us. Forgive us for the times we’ve allowed disappointment, fear, or comparison to shrink our faith. Teach us to dream boldly, trust deeply, and obey faithfully. Help us become people who don’t simply admire big visions but partner with You to bring them to life. May our lives reflect Your glory, and may everything we build point people back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
